Annapurna Siklish Trek takes you to the place which still retains the aura of an ancient Gurung Culture and heritages. Siklish is the oldest and second largest Gurung settlement in the country. This trek is especially developed for the inexperienced trekkers or those who want to explore the rural villages of Nepal. In fact, Annapurna Siklish Trekking is the combination of awesome Gurung culture, wonderful traditional village life and peerless Himalayan panorama of Annapurna range along with Mardi Himal.

Siklish is a stunning Gurung village with narrow lanes and stone and mud houses. Almost all houses are grouped in the traditional ribbon pattern. Siklish village is surrounded by five other beautiful villages including Lama-thar, Harpu-thar, Sabha-thar, Dhaprang-thar and Gari-thar, each of which hastheir own role in the local community. However being slow, this trek yet offers enough time to explore the availalable flora and fauna in this region. En route, you will get an opportunity to observe some of the splendid views of mountains.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival and Check-in to the Hotel

The representatives from World Sight Journeys will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport upon your arrival. We then transfer you to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 02:  Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour

Today, we spend the whole for the sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley. You will have the full day guided sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley covering the major cultural attractions which have also been cited as The World Heritage Cultural Sites. After having breakfast in the morning, we visit Pashupatinath, which is considered the holiest temple of Lord Shiva.  We then head to Bauddhanath, which is also known as Little Tibet and also is one of the oldest and largest Buddhist Monastery in the world. Following the Bauddhanath Monastery, we visit Swayambhunath, the Monkey Temple, which is equally revered by Hindus and Buddhists.   Swayambhunath is an ancient religious complex atop a hill in the west of Kathmandu. After exploring the Swayambhunath Stupa, we drive to Kathmandu (Basantpur) Durbar Square. If time allows, you can explore the city. Finally, you will have dinner at hotel and stay there overnight.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara

After having breakfast in the morning today, we drive to Pokhara. It takes around 7 hours to reach Pokhara from Kathmandu by bus. You can also take the flight which take about 30 minutes and in the remaining time, take your time to explore the Pokhara city and Lakeside. We stay overnight at a guesthouse in Pokhara.

Day 04: Drive from Pokhara to Bijaypur, and Trek to Kalikasthan (1370m) – 5 Hours

From Pokhara, we take a 30 minute drive to Bijaypur Khola, which is the starting point of our trek. Passing through the beautiful rice fields, our trail ascends to Rakhigaon. From Rakhigaon, we gently climb along the ridge top taking us eventually to the village of Kalikasthan mainly inhabited by Chhetri and Brahmin community. We stay overnight at our tented accommodation.

Day 05: Trek from Kalikasthan to Lamakhet (1680m) – 6 Hours

Today, we start gently passing through the local villages with mixed ethnic groups. We can witness some of the alluring rice terraces up to Mardi Khola. And from Mardi Khola, our trek is going to be easy as we are walking along the riverbank. We, en route have to pass through Bhaise and Nawaldanda to reach Lamakhet. Well, Lamakhet it is small settlement with all green hills around. We stay overnight at our tented accommodation.

Day 06: Trek from Lamakhet to Siklis (1980m) – 6 Hours

Today, our trek stretches at a flat level along the river bank until we reach Khilangaon. We then follow the path which is gently up at some distances and steeply up for some hours. We have to pass through Parju village from where we climb uphill to Siklis village. Siklis is one of the oldest and largest Gurung settlements in the country. Most of the people in the village serve in Indian Army and British Army. We stay overnight at a tented camp.

Day 07: Trek from Siklis to Forest Camp (2200m) – 5 Hours

We start our journey from Siklis today and head towards Nyauli Kharka which is also known as Forest Camp. Our trail passes through the beautiful forests of rhododendron and oaks following the gentle ascent. After crossing some distance, we walk over the flat land. We make tented accommodation for the overnight stay.

Day 08: Trek from Forest Camp to Galegaon (2000m) – 5 Hours

Our trek today takes us through the dense forests of rhododendron. We have to cross a pass during this trek and then have to descend steeply to reach Ghalegaon. Ghalegaon is a small settlement mainly inhabited by Gurung and Magar community. We stay overnight at a tented accommodation.

Day 09: Trek from Ghalegaon to Pokhara – 4 Hours

We start our trek from Ghalegaon today and the trail gently descends to Hyamgja at the elevation of 1070m. From Hyamngja, we board a vehicle to drive to Pokhara. We stay overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 10: Pokhara City Sightseeing Tour

We spend this whole day sightseeing the beautiful city of Pokhara, which is the best tourist destination in Nepal. Early in the morning, our first aim is to reach Sarangkot, which is popular among tourists as it offers the beautiful sunrise and sunset views. You can witness the phenomenal sunrise in the beautiful Machhapuchhre, Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. After spending an hour at Sarankot, we drive back to Pokhara to explore the number of mysterious caves and temples. We take our time to enjoy boating in Fewa Lake and explore the Seti Gorge and Davis Falls. In the remaining time, you can explore around the city. Overnight, we stay at a guesthouse.

Day 11: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu

We drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara today. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you can utilize your time for the last minute shopping or you can explore around the city. We celebrate the Farewell Dinner together with the trekking team and spend overnight at the hotel.

Day 12: Final Departure

Today, you take the returning flight to your hometown. Our representatives will assist you to reach the airport. You return to your home with an unforgettable travel experience in Nepal.
